Company President Glenn French, CPM® delivers the acceptance speech for the Lloyd D. Hanford, Sr. Distinguished Faculty Award on April 26, 2003 in Washington, DC. In his remarks, he addressed his vision of the nation's inner cities being safe from fear and the role multi-family housing development has in leading such a renaissance. He pointed out that the Philadelphia Housing Authority is now headed by a Certified Property Manager® and that the agency is the first in the nation to achieve the Accredited Management Organization (AMO®) designation awarded by IREM. He urged that IREM continue supporting housing authorities, recognizing their important role in rebuilding inner city communities.
